PORTLAND, OR; April 1, 2014 – George Anderson, founder and Chairman of the Board, Anderson Die & Manufacturing Company has announced record breaking first quarter, through March 31, results for the Oregon-based nursery pot manufacturer.
“2013 was our best year ever, then the first quarter of 2014 follows as our best first quarter ever by far – up over 20% from 2013 and we fully expect to set a new sales record for the full year of 2014, as well,” said Anderson. “We have the ability to expand our production quite a bit without having to add more injection molding machines or buildings thanks to our large investment in production equipment updates over the past six years.
Rick Anderson, the company’s president relates, “We are bullish on the nursery industry nationally and in the northwest specifically. Anderson Pot sales have definitely benefited from the growing desire to buy local. In addition, Anderson bands and of many of the smaller greenhouse pot sizes have really taken off in sales in the past 6 to 9 months.
The Portland, Oregon firm has announced it is going into production on a new lower price #15 field pot that will greatly strengthen Anderson’s competiveness in the black nursery container market.
Additional new designs are planned. All the new pots will be produced of premium recycled plastic blends designed to offer both superior strength and moderate price.
